1 The activities in this “20 Day Challenge” will help you live out the Great Commission Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:18-20. Over the span of one month, engage with five specific challenges per week.
Avoid trying to do it alone. Depending on your context, each day’s challenge presents an opportunity to lock arms with a teammate or co-worker and to trust God together. Encourage one another as you step out in faith each day.
Watch God work in your life and the lives of those around you as you take the challenge this month!
Ask the Lord to bring one person to mind He would want you to share the gospel with and begin praying for them.
Ask the Lord to identify someone who can mentor/disciple you in your relationship with God.
Memorize the definition of Successful Witnessing
"Successful witnessing is simply taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God."
Share the gospel with one other person
Learn about the Holy Spirit by reading through Empowering of the Holy Spirit.
Get quiet before the Lord and confess any area of your life that is not in God's control and ask Him to fill you with His Spirit so you can live victorious.
Ask the Lord to bring someone to mind He wants you to share what you have learned about the Holy Spirit and begin praying for them.
Memorize John 14:16-17
v16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
v17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
Initiate at least one spiritual conversation with someone about the Holy Spirit.
Often the hardest part of starting the conversation is initiating.
The end goal is simply to engage someone in spiritual conversation and see where the Lord takes it.
Thank the Lord for what He has done in your life.
Ask the Lord who He wants you to share your testimony with and begin praying for them.
Memorize: 1 Peter 3:15
"but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect"
Now it is time to share your testimony with others. We encourage you to take the following challenge before moving onto the next section of this resource.
Share your testimony with one other person.
