New series alert! Hi, I’m Jenna Elique and I’m a student interning with Athletes in Action this summer. I will be hosting a new five-week series called Off the Field that will help competing athletes learn how to excel outside of their sport.
But before we get to the details, let me further introduce myself. I just finished my sophomore year at Syracuse University, where I’m majoring in broadcast and digital journalism.
"I want to become an athlete of influence!"
This summer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with the AIA digital team . This new series will be my way of connecting with the AIA community of athletes.
Okay, let’s get back to talking about the exciting news about this new series.
Off the Field will not only help athletes have Christ-centered perspective on their athletic careers, but the series will also equip them for life after they’ve retired from the game.
Each week there will be a short video unpacking themes like adversity, character, identity, influence, and purpose, offering scripture that can be applied on the field and off as well as a couple of questions to ponder each week.
To start us off, I will be talking about adversity in the context of sport and faith. I look forward to sharing some scripture-based wisdom in the coming weeks.
